Protearc
How to order

Ordering, start to finish.

Answer two questions and the steps for you appear below. Protearc panels are run at Neurocode, a CLIA-certified (#50D2301382), CAP-accredited (#9838151) laboratory, so kits, requisitions and blood draws follow Neurocode's process.

A clinic, first order

  1. Step 1

    Your account

Talk to us and we set up your organization in Arc Watch: your clinicians, their sign-ins and who sees which patients.

    Talk to us

Every clinician signs in with a password and an authenticator app.

  2. Step 2

    Order and kit

Tell your Protearc contact the patient and the panel, and we place the order for you. Coming Ordering inside Arc Watch.

Each order returns a requisition code (RQ-…). Then choose how the blood is collected:

    • Ship a kit to the patient. We mail the kit with instructions for booking a draw.
    • Stock kits at your clinic. Request a batch of free kits.
    • Draw in your office. Use your own supplies and ship to the lab.
  3. Step 3

    Requisition

With a kit, shipped to the patient or stocked at your clinic

Fill in the requisition that comes in the kit, write the requisition code on it, and have a licensed provider sign it. It travels with the sample.

    Drawing in your office

Print and fill in the requisition, write the requisition code on it, and have a licensed provider sign it. It travels with the sample.

The requisition, not Protearc, carries the patient's identifiers for the laboratory.

  4. Step 4

    Blood draw

With a kit, shipped to the patient or stocked at your clinic

The patient books a draw at a partner draw site (1,500+ locations in all 50 states) and brings the kit. In-person draws are generally free for the patient; at-home draws cost extra.

    Drawing in your office

Your clinic draws the sample in the office and ships it to the laboratory in Bellingham, Washington, following the collection instructions.

  5. Step 5

    Results and billing

When the laboratory director releases the result, it appears in Arc Watch with what changed against the patient's own baseline. Changes are read from the third draw on.

Protearc invoices your organization for released results. There is no insurance billing. For pricing, talk to us.
